San Francisco Zoo

We went to the San Francisco Zoo over the weekend!  We go to the Oakland Zoo quite often,  but hadn’t been to SF Zoo since Owen was 18 months old!

And Owen really loves penguins.  And the Oakland Zoo doesn’t have penguins.

We spent about an hour watching them get fed and waddle around.

It was tough to tear him away.

Nathan busied himself with a little flower picking.

Then Matt loaded them up to head off to see what else there was to see.

And there was a bunch more.

If you know me, you know I HATE this picture! A lot.

Owen kinda looks like the real thing.

Hometown Days 2012

We LOVE Hometown Days! And each year, it gets better.

We are seeing friends grow up together.  (Emma & Elin are pretending to fall asleep, with boredom waiting for the parade.)

And more and more friends in the parade.

And it truly feels like home.  Like we belong. 

And that is a good feeling!

To have good friends and a good time and a good town.

It’s all good!

I know, and love, each and every person in this random picture.

Even if all you see is their feet, a hat or the back of their head.  I know ‘em and I love ‘em.  They’re my hometown! 

Glasses!

So at Owen’s nightmare doctor’s appointment we found out that he’d most likely need glasses! 

Three eye appointments later we have a cutie in specs!

He’s pretty great about wearing them.

He must be pretty excited to be able see!

Mother’s Day

I was so lucky to be able to spend the weekend in VEGAS, with my mother and grandma!

It was such a special treat.  And oh so relaxing!

But man oh man, did I miss my boys!

I got home Sunday afternoon and the boys had worked hard on a welcome home sign!

And had lots of love and presents for me!

They had a wonderful weekend with dad and I had a great weekend getaway!

But home was definitely where my heart was!
