My First Art
Owen took the My First Art Class when he was 18 months old and absolutely loved it. He wore his crown for weeks.
I haven’t done one single class with Nathan and decided to sign him up for for the art class while Owen is in school.
All the way to class Nathan kept saying “no paint, no paint” so I was wasn’t sure what to expect.
He loved it.
Everything about it.
He painted, he glued, he washed up and went back for more!
He was a fast painter, knew exactly what he wanted and when he was finished.
And then asked about “more paper please”!
Masterpieces are on their way!

More Monterey
So there’s this park in Monterey, with a train.
A real, huge train.
That one can, quite unsafely, climb all over.
The boys were in heaven.
I was a nervous wreck. This is an enormous train.
The climbing wall next to it, was like a sandbox comparatively.
Fun times.
My Mini Mariachi Band
Nathan’s a performer by nature. He loves his guitar. Almost as much a ball. Constantly asks for his “sing-sing”! Then Matt brought home an enormous sombero and now he won’t play his guitar without his hat!
Which we obviously encourage!
The only thing better is catching the performance on video!

Day Trip
The last time we went down to Monterey, Nathan was only a few weeks old and strangely enough, I didn’t blog about it. It made our annual book, so I thought for sure it was here somewhere , but sure enough, it’s no where to be found.
I can tell you that last time, Nathan was snug in a sling and never made a peep.
And this time, the starfish were in fear of their lives.
Nathan is not so gentle.
And the boys were going in opposite directions.
The only peaceful moment was this lovely jellyfish.
Can you see Nathan’s shirt? Soaked.
We had a blast! The boys had a BLAST!

Why We’ll Need A New Couch In A Few Years
After dinner most nights this is what occurs.
And it’s a huge mess.
But they’re so happy.
And play really well together!

End of Summer BBQ
Just like our end of summer BBQ last year, where we welcomed back the Broxterman Family, we were too busy, playing, relaxing, eating and drinking to take pictures.
But I got a few.
Nathan has sure changed a lot!
Lindsay and Angela, my super besties!
Elin & Anabel, having fun!
And this is the only picture I have of Jacob and Owen: attacking Mark in the bounce house!
Good-bye summer!
