I think it helped Nathan to see Owen reading books all the time and lately, we see a lot of this:Which is just precious!

For the Love of Books!
Nathan has finally found the joy in books! While Owen loved books from the start, Nathan was quickly bored and would rip it from you hands and hurl it across the room after the first page.

The best we could do.
We were trying to get Nathan to say a few words like "Owen, hungry, no" etc, but they never "talk" on command and anytime Nate sees a camera he breaks into "cheese", I promise you he can say more than this:

Mexico - San Jose Del Cabo
I cannot believe that we are already back from our Mexican vacation! We've already vowed to go for two weeks next year.

They napped right on schedule!
It's so fun, it's just the best family vacation. Sure there are stressful moments, the kids still have tantrums, Nathan still didn't sleep through the night and not everything goes as planned, but then I pop open a beer, dangle my feet in the pool and watch the kids laugh and splash around and realize that I am a lucky, lucky girl and I have absolutely nothing to complain about it. If you haven't done a "do nothin' but hang out, drink and play" family vacation, I highly recommend it.
So I totally overstress about the plane ride. I totally over plan for it and completely plan for the worst. The flight is only about three hours but that could be a lifetime if you have screaming kid strapped next you! I have snacks, crafts, video games, movies, bingo, cars, books and crayons all at the ready.
And we needed none of it!
Of course we brought (and buckled up) Funshine and Champ bears!
As soon as we landed, we got ready for the pool and Nathan was psyched!
Bryan shocked us all by showing up with a shaved head!
And the fun began!

...and go for a ride:
Nathan and Matt take a dip:
This next set of pictures is by far my favorite. We were in the town square, just running around, killing time and the boys were having a blast. The brotherly love was just too much! One of my favorite nights of the whole trip. (I think you can double click on the photos to make them bigger, Nate's expression in these equals pure joy.)
Coco jumps right in:
Lucas grabs his gear and gets in:
Then they all climb on Tortuga (our enormous inflatable turtle, of course).
So sad to go, but we had so much fun.
Adios!
