Mexico-Part 1

I love our annual trip to Mexico.  I love it!  It’s something I hope we can do for years to come.

It takes me a day or two to get into vacation mode and really start to enjoy myself (see my not so pretty vacation face)! 

But the boys jump right in and make it easy to let go!

The warm weather, beautiful sunsets and all the drinking make it pretty easy too!

Owen talked about seeing his cousins for WEEKS before our trip. He really loves to spend time with family.  And it’s amazing how quickly they reconnect.

Nathan is a natural vacationer.

It makes parenting duties a breeze.  It’s every thing you want it to be.

No Training Wheels!

I had NO idea that seeing Owen ride his bike without training wheels would be such an emotional milestone!  But when I saw this:

I had tears of pride streaming down my face!  It was precious!

And look at the pride on HIS face!

So happy!

And so cool!

I love this video, because not only does Owen ride far, but you can see Nathan and his soccer dribbling skills following right behind!

My boys have talent!  Obviously.

Owen’s 5th Birthday!

Owen is five.  FIVE!  It was five years ago that I sat in the Kaiser hospital staring at his tiny, tiny face for hours on end, shocked that we had a baby.  A precious, amazing, sweet baby boy.
And now that baby is a kid.  A big, five year old kid. 
He had an amazing pirate day!  He got to open gifts from Grandma Claudia and the Maciel’s in the morning. Which he was entirely thrilled with!



Then off to school with his Pirate’s Booty as his class treat!


After school we had his party and all his friends from school and playgroup all came!

Pirate Joe!  We could not have had the party without Joe, he was, as usual, the hit of the party.  By the end of the day he had nine kids hanging on him!

Then back to the bounce house for more fun!
