We drove down to grandma’s house for Thanksgiving and while the drive is never fun, being there always makes us wish we were closer so we could visit more.
First, my mom’s backyard is a little boy’s dream. It’s all dirt. You can’t hurt anything. You can drag everything around, you can shovel, rake, dig to your heart’s content and no one ever tells you to stop. The boys are complete filth within minutes, but they’re so happy and because it’s not me entertaining them, I’m so happy! Win-win!
Second, there are so many cousins around the same age, that there is always someone to play with. And the boys, Hollis, Cash, Owen and Nathan played, for hours on end.
Yabo the giant dog, protects them while they play!
Inside, we ate and played games and just had wonderful and relaxing day!
We played a homemade version of the game Headbandz. You have a word on your forehead and you go around asking questions until you can guess what you are. Fun for all ages!
The boys went until they could go no more! You can’t see it, but Hollis is asleep behind the pillows!
We are so thankful for such a fun and loving family!
