Last year we went to Disneyland on Nathan’s first birthday. And it was great. Well this year, Matt had a friend who had tickets that needed to be used before the end of the year and gave them to us. Super great. Disneyland is expensive!
But we had to go on a Saturday. Not as super great. We did our usual thing and got there before it opened and really had first pick of the rides without lines. But it was clearly more crowded than we had ever seen it, even at that point.
Owen was freezing in this picture, but it turned out to be almost 80 degrees! Beautiful!
See Owen’s name on Santa’s list!? Very exciting!
The tea cups.
Owen and Matt on Dumbo. We quickly learned that Nathan would go on nothing that required a buckle! Luckily most of the rides there are buckle-less. But Nathan happily waved from the sidelines on the rides that required a safety strap!
The Buzz Lightyear ride was a favorite! We rode is several times.
Nathan would have gone on the Jungle Cruise a million times.
There were characters everywhere!
Nathan took a nap.
And woke up to see Goofy. Who he loves on screen. Not so much in real life!
At this point, it was about 2pm and it was so crowded we could not put Nathan down, in fear that he would wiggle between someone’s legs and get immediately lost. The problem was that he wanted down. He didn’t want to be carried or in the backpack and we didn’t have a stroller, so we called it a day and headed home. The lines were too long anyway and we had done everything more than once. So we weren’t too upset!
