Well I can say that this month felt a little longer than the last 9! I don't know why, maybe because it's the end of summer. Nathan Henry is 10 months old and we are loving every second of it.
Surprisingly, he's not walking....Owen beat him on that milestone (who was completely on his own by now). But he can take steps, usually 2 or 3 before he drops to his knees. Occasionally, up to 10 and we always scare him with our excitement! He can stand up from the center of an empty room with no problem and squat down and stand back up again. He can take a few steps start to lose his balance, but catch it and take a few more. He is certainly getting it! I think we have about two weeks before we have a full blown walker.
The quick list, is much the same:
- Oh so happy!
- Sleeps well at night, wakes at 5:30a to eat and then goes back down until close to 7a. Takes a good morning nap around 9a. The afternoon nap, is now less than an hour.
- Eats and eats and eats.
- Loves balls and cars.
- Words: uh-oh, dada, ball, dog, O-aaaa (Owen), bye (with a wave). He tries to repeat words, so if say "thank you" he makes sounds in your same tone, but it doesn't sound like the words. Does that make sense?
- If a door to the outside opens he hauls his little self as fast as he can to get out! The sits and throws his head back and screams if you close the door before he makes it. Unfortunately, Owen finds this game REAL funny!
We are lucky, lucky people to have this little guy. He thinks he's pretty cute too!
