After about an hour, Owen walked over the swing where Ozi was and put a blanket on him. He said the baby needs to be nice cozy, never mind the fact that it was at least 80 degrees. It was so cute and sweet. Then he gently helped push the swing. Again, so cute.
Then he counted "1, 2, 3 UNDERDOG!" gives a nice hearty push and runs next to the swing! Both Heather and I stopped in our tracks to make sure that Owen hadn't actually pushed the new tiny baby out of his swing. Then we cracked up and Owen said "I think he likes it!". I calmly explained that babies really aren't ready for "underdogs", but thanks! Holy smokes!
As for our own baby brother, still no sign of his appearance. We have about 3-4 weeks to go. We ordered a gift for Owen from the baby, a Little Tykes workbench and it arrived at our door, just sitting there, unwrapped and ready to go. Owen was THRILLED! What could I do? I couldn't hide it, I couldn't not give him something from it! I did have him wait until daddy got home to open it. We gave him just the drill and the little car that you can "build" and he played and played with it all night! He kept thanking baby brother and he even gave the belly a kiss! Very sweet. We've hidden the box and he is going to really love it when we put the thing together and give it all to him once baby brother gets here! Here are a few pix of Owen hard at work.
Alright, if you haven't seen me in awhile, sit down! Here's a picture of the giant, bare 35 week belly! I had just worked out so, I'm clearly not at my loveliest, but give a girl a break.
