Days Like These...

...are the BEST!

I love when a day is perfect from beginning to end.  That was today.

My boys and I love water.  It's our happy place. And I stumbled upon this little lake in Hayward, less than 30 minutes away.  It's a huge swimming lake with lifeguards and umbrellas and it's not crowded and it was just a perfect, perfect day.

We got there when it opened at 11am and I had to drag the boys away at 4:30pm because I hadn't packed enough food to stay that long and I was STARVING.  

I love a day where it's oddly easy.  I wasn't annoyed one time.  No one got a time out. Neither one cried. Not once.  We played, we swam, we snacked, we dug in the sand, we looked for frogs, we inflated our crocodile from Mexico and floated around.

I picked up my phone one time to snap one quick picture and that was it.

I packed a book to read (and I actually got to read it some), but the cutest thing is that Nathan also packed his Power Ranger books to read.  We had reading time. 

  

It was an easy day and I loved it.  Every second of it.
