While we didn’t do a lot in the way of site-seeing, we did a few excursions. The dolphins were fun, but the Pirate Ship was AMAZING! The absolute highlight of the trip.
Once we got back home, like San Carlos home, weeks later, the boys would put on the pirate show and it is always very close to the original. They tell us about our life jackets and serve us breakfast. Just like on the ship.
Here’s what the day looked like:
Breakfast!
Then the show. The boys were riveted.
They learned how to sword fight.
More of the show.
Nathan could not get over the pirates “walking the plank” and to this day (March 28, 2012) still yells “WALK THE PLANK” daily! They jumped into the water and a boat picked them up. I tried several times to upload the video, but it kept coming up with an error. I don’t know why.
Then we stopped at a private island for some fun!
And a nap.
And some kayaking.
And some boogie boarding.
You’re doing great!
Big WAVE!
OH NO! He eats it! BIG TIME!
I’m a terrible mom, because I could NOT stop laughing!
He was pissed. Probably because I was laughing so hard!
But he was fine and jumped right back out there!
Still napping.
Matt and Owen go for a kayak ride.
More napping for Nathan (he slept the entire 3 hours on the island, didn’t do a thing, but sleep).
Owen went on a treasure hunt.
And found GOLD.
Then Matt and Owen went out on the boogie board.
Then it was back to the ship for lunch and pirate dancing!
Truly one of the best run “tours” I’ve ever been on. The pirates were in character the entire time. They were WONDERFUL with the kids. And it was an all day thing with meals, drinks and entertainment!
For our two pirate obsessed boys, it was perfect!
