I know better than to assume!

And yet I assumed that because Monday went so swimmingly, Nathan would be a breeze to wean.

Well he told me who was boss yesterday.

The boy cried for milk like it was the reason he was put on this earth! By nap time I was flat out exhausted. He wouldn't even read books, he was so preoccupied crying for milk. I put him in his crib and he screamed like a wild hyena, so loudly that I'm shocked neighbors didn't call Child Protective Services, it was heartbreaking. So I caved.

BUT, he only napped for 20 minutes before he was up screaming for MILK again! Now that's out of control. This time I tried to comfort him, saying, "it's nite-nite time, no more milk" and I put him down, grabbed my timer and walked outside. Literally out of the house. I don't know how long the fit lasted but less than 10 minutes, because when I went back in he was asleep.

BUT, when he woke up (a mere 45 minutes later) guess what he was screaming for?

So it's safe to say the boys isn't 100% weaned. We're getting there. He went to bed last night without nursing fine and today has been better. He nursed when he first woke up and then at nap time he went down easily without nursing. I guess it's a day by day, hour by hour process.
